Cristián Salineros F. (1969) Santiago, Chile.

He studied printmaking at Taller de Artes Visuales (T.A.V.) Chile. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Fine Arts, with a Major in Sculpture from Universidad Arcis, Chile. In 2003 he was awarded a DAAD Academic Interchange Scholarship (Germany) to carry out postgraduate studies at the Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf, Germany, where he developed projects under the tutorial of Daniel Buren, Magdalena Jetelovà and Rita McBride.

He has shown his work individually and in group shows both in Chile and abroad. Notable among these are individual exhibitions at the Göttingen Kunstverein, Germany; at the Joachim Gallery in Berlin, Germany, at Galeria 713 Arte Contemporaneo, Buenos Aires, Argentina; Riffe Gallery, Ohio, USA; Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia and DKM Museum , Germay.

He has been awarded project funding by the National Fund for the Development of the Arts (FONDART) on four occasions and has received funding from the Friends of the Arts on two occasions; among other prizes he received the Altazor prize in 2003 and other major awards such as the first prize from the Telefónica Foundation sculpture competition and  second prize at the Deutsche Bank Förderpreis für Skulptur (Germany), first prize from the Ministry of Public Works, Illustrious Municipality of Pichidegua.

Since the year 2000, he has held several academic positions at college level and as Director of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Thesis. He has been juror and project evaluator in various competitions and competitive funding awards both in Chile and abroad.

His work can be found in public and private collections in Chile and abroad.

He is responsible for the exhibitions programme and curatorship at Sala A.M. of the Faculty of Arts of Universidad Mayor.
